This years dates are August 31, September 1 and 2The babies are here!Shrimp Harvest 2012 September 1st -3rd! Mark your calendars!Sept. 1st and 2nd (Saturday and Sunday) at noon you will be able to watch as a pond is harvested at approximately noon both days.  Visitors are welcome anytime during those days starting at 9 a.m. until ?   Labor Day, Monday the 3rd, will be for purchasing shrimp only, there will be no vendors that day!Vendors are always welcome and can include:  Airbrush, Lemon ShakeUps, Wine Tasting, and assorted craft tables.   Delicious food and games to complete your day.  Bring your lawn chairs and coolers, a tent if you want, and watch our LABOR DAY WEEKEND SHRIMP HARVEST.  Fun for the entire family!

2012 will be our sixth year as Shrimp Farmers.  Initially we started with one pond and increased to 3 for our second season of raising the shrimp (also known as prawns).   The response was so great that we  now have 5 ponds!!!  The shrimp "babies" arrive around the first week of June and we always plan on  Labor Day weekend being our harvest time.   We hope that you will come join us on Harvest Day and take home some shrimp for your eating pleasure.  Make sure and let us know if you want to be notified of the exact date of harvest by sending us an email now!  This is a remarkable attraction for those of all ages that you won't want to miss. 

Your Shrimp Purchase

The shrimp will come to you bagged and ready to freeze.  These are whole shrimp directly from the pond, rinsed and bagged.

With an increase in ponds our 2009 harvest season will begin a weekend event instead of a one day allowing us to have some shrimp bagged and available upon request.

As with any other fresh shrimp, you have many options in preparing these tasty darlings.  They can be broiled, boiled, fried, grilled, baked, etc.  Cleaning and peeling can be done prior to or after cooking, you choose.  For some yummy recipes check out our Services page.
